Is
it fondly imagined that death shall not overtake everyone? Nay, by God! 'Every
soul shall taste of death.' Such being the case, it would certainly be far
better and more fitting if this mortal life were offered up in the path of the
Beloved, and sacrificed for the sake of Him Who is the ultimate Desire of all
men. Nay, I beg forgiveness of God for this assertion, inasmuch as this
sacrifice would be a myriad times more preferable and fitting. Even for this
assertion, I once again implore pardon of God.
