“Recite ye the verses of God every morn and eventide.” (Bahá’u’lláh, ‘The Kitáb-i-Aqdas’)

9/28/26

September 28

Morning

O Son of Being! If thine heart be set upon this eternal, imperishable dominion, and this ancient, everlasting life, forsake this mortal and fleeting sovereignty.

- Baha’u’llah (‘The Hidden Words’)

Evening

Every conqueror is but a serf whom Thy [God’s] hand hath subjected, and the richest of the rich is as destitute before the immensity of Thy wealth. The noblest of nobles is humbled when faced with the manifestations of Thy glory, and the mightiest of potentates is a mere abject one when confronted with the compelling evidences of Thine authority.

- Baha’u’llah (‘Prayers and Meditations by Baha’u’llah’)
